Link:
Description: The National Consortium on Leadership and Disability/Youth (NCLD-Youth) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Dr. Patricia Morrissey Disability Policy Fellowship Program.

Dr. Morrissey is known for her tremendous leadership in the fields of both education policy and disability policy. As former commissioner of the Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD), Dr. Morrissey is known as a problem solver and persuader who considers it her main job to help make the “American Dream” happen for individuals with disabilities.

Selected fellows will spend the summer working at the Institute for Educational Leadership where they will gain exposure to thinkers, doers, movers, and shakers in both the education and disability policy fields. As part of the application process, fellows will submit ideas for potential pieces of work that not only reflect the goals and values of NCLD/Y but also the spirit and drive embodied by Dr. Morrissey. (Please see the attached document for a more detailed description of Dr. Morrissey’s work). Selected fellows are expected to attend hearings, meetings, and other opportunities to network and learn from leaders in the fields of disability policy and education policy.

The Dr. Patricia Morrissey Disability Policy Fellowship Program is a paid fellowship opportunity. Interested applicants should submit a resume to AndraƩa LaVant at lavanta@iel.org or call 202-822-8405 x 127 for more details.
